It has been some odyssey, lemme tell ya. Here's some of the story. I've been working on these writings in intermittent spurts, making many small changes, adding detail here and there, and gradually extending the coverage.

• Coming out to myself: when I first knew and what I did about it.
• First sexual experiences (I was 8 years old).
• My first love affair (we were 11 when it started, 16 when it ended).
• My first regular fun-time buddy (I was 11, he was 12).
• Sexual life in high school: in the closet, but with the door opening.
• College and meeting lots of gay men in the 50s, however closeted.
• Bars, parties, booze and sex: men on the make.
• The wild 60s and 70s, complete with drugs and free love.
• Recent times, far different in character because of HIV among us.
• Being older in a youth-oriented culture.
• Loving and having sex with straight men. Is there a paradox?
• Having essentially no men in my life: it's different, that's for sure.
